Dear Gus and Coach Rifa,

We are excited to hear your team will be playing in the United States, but even more excited that you will be in our beautiful Mohawk Valley. This area is know for its love of hockey and some fierce rivalries among various schools.

We would be very happy to provide for your transportation needs while you are in Central New York and offer the following price quotation for your consideration.

September 8, 2008 - Niagara Falls - New York State and/or Canada

Details: Depart Utica Radisson Hotel at 8:00am. Travel along the New York State Thruway with a break stop en route. Passengers will have their choice of being dropped in Niagara Falls, either New York or Canada. Will will drop first in New York, then cross the Rainbow Bridge and drop on the Canadian side. Depart from Canadian side approximately 6:00pm, then from US side and return back to the Radisson around 11:00pm.

Cost: $1,680

The above cost is based on a 15-hour day (8am to 11pm). Please add $100 per hour for any additional hours required.

Our over-the-road motorcoaches are equipped with reclining seats, lavatory, heat/air-conditioning, DVD/VCR player and microphone. You are welcome to bring snacks and beverages (not glass bottles please), movies and music for your traveling pleasure. By state law, there is no smoking on the motorcoach, though I don't expect that to be a concern for you.

The Mohawk Valley has the distinct pleasure of being in the center of New York State, making us a great stepping off location for many areas of the state. While here you may want to consider a day trip to the 1000 Islands in Alexandria Bay to enjoy a 2-Nation luncheon cruise that doesn't require of passport. Depending upon the age of your team members, they may enjoy a tour of our beautiful wine country in the Finger Lakes. History abounds in Central New York; French & Indian War sites, Revolutionary War sites, a re-created 1800s era Village at the spot where the first shovel full of dirt was excavated for the Erie Canal, a man-made thoroughfare that opened the way westward; Indian villages with re-created long houses; modern day Indian Casino's with world class gaming (must be 21), underground caverns to explore (Howes Caverns) and even a water park and amusement park within 2 hours driving time. There's art, mountains, lakes, parks, zoos, factory tours, brewery tour of Matt Bewery, the oldest brewer in New York State, and it's right here in Utica. I will be most happy to provide more information or a price quote if any of the above are of interest to you. Or, let me know your interests so I can provider better options. I look forward to wroking with you.

Sincerely,

Kathy Visalli

The information that you explain us are very interesting.
We want to use the maximum the journey. We can visit other things for the way.
With this price, which proposal of itinerary you can make us? Concrete proposal. Other alternatives.

Good morning Coach Rifa,

I have booked our smallest motorcoach, a 47-passenger, for 7/08/08 from the Radisson Hotel in Utica to Niagara Falls for the day. Passengers will have their choice of spending the day either on the United States side (no Passport/Proof of Citizenshiip required) or on the Canadian side (Passport/Proof of Citizenship IS required).

I have been able to reduce the price to $1,615. Payment in full, in US currency is due by June 8, 2008. Please remit check in US funds payable to Wade Tours, Inc. and send to 37 Kirkland Ave, Clinton NY 13323. We can accept credit card payment on Master Card, Visa or Discover, but a 3% surcharge will be added. It is my understanding payment will be made by the Spanish Hockey Team. Please correct me if this is not the case.

The Itinerary for this trip is as follows:

7:45am - Motorcoach arrives Radisson Hotel, Utica

8:00am - Depart for Niagara Falls

- Break stop at a New York State Travel Plaza, about 1/2 way through the trip. Fast food vendors are available for purchase of coffee/breakfast, etc.

12:00pm - Drop passengers on US side of Niagara Falls

- Border Crossing, please have proper documents

12:30pm - Drop passengers on Canadian side of Niagara Falls

6:00pm - Depart Canadian side

- Border Crossing, please have proper documents.

6:15/6:30pm - Depart US side. (Exact departure time is dependent upon how long it takes to get thru Customs)

- Break stop at a New York State Travel Plaza

10:30/11:00pm - Arrive back at Radisson Hotel, Utica

Gus Lizano mentioned your group may also have interest in a half-day tour and wondered about visiting Fort Ticonderoga. Unfortunately, it is a four-hour ride each way, so would require a full day. However, we do have a major fort, Fort Stanwix, only 20 minutes away from us. Fort Stanwix was a major site during the French and Indian War and later the Revolutionary War. Attacked by a force of British, Tories and American Indians in 1777, it withstood a 3-week siege and is where our United States flag was first flown in battle. Today the fort is a living history museum with costumed interpreters re-enacting 18th-century life in a military outpost. The fort contains exhibits and occasional demontrations. There is also a museum on the property. I do not know how you feel about guns, but if interested, we could also take you to Remington Arms for a tour of the plant to view the gun-making process. The museum displays firearms ranging from flintlock rifles to rare pistols and revolvers. Other Remington products from the past include a 19th-century typewriter and 1900s bicycle. The two together could be done in about 6 hours, including time for lunch.

A three-hour drive away is the Adirondack Museum, in Blue Mountain Lake in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. The museum, on 32-acres overlooking Blue Mountain Lake, hs 23 indoor and outdoor exhibits about logging, boating, recreation and mining, to show the culture, environment and history of the Adirondack region from the early 1800s to the present. Visitors can also explore an elegant private dining car (like the ones the wealthy used to transport them to the Adirondacks in the late 1800s, early 1900s), a collection of freshwater boats, a schoolhouse and a cottage with rustic Adirondack furniture. You'd need to allow 8-9 hours for this trip.

Or, they could go up to Old Forge, 1-1/4 hours away in the Adirondacks, climb Bald Mountain (easy climb) to enjoy a beautiful view of the the mountain area and some of the lakes in the Fulton Chain of Lakes. There is a boat that does either sightseeing cruise or Luncheon cruise on the Chain of Lakes, completely narrated, very scenic, very relaxing. If you want the scenery with a little adventure, we could arrange for a kyaking trip on the Moose River, NOT whitewater. To do climb and either cruise or kyaking would be about 6 hour day.

I'll be happy to provide a price quote if you are interested in any of these options.

Kathy

Hi Gus and Josep,

I'm very sorry I do not yet have the dispatch phone number for Golden Touch Transportation for your shuttle on Wednesday, 7/02/08 from JFK International Airport, Jet Airways Flight #203, arriving Terminal 8 at 12 noon to Wingate by Windham Hotel Manhattan Midtown, 235 W. 35th St, New York City, NY. I do expect to be able to have that direct phone number tomorrow, but in the mean time, their office number is 1-718-886-5204 or 1-718-762-8467. The person I am working with is Juana. Please remember I will be in the office all day on that Wednesday. My number is 1-315-853-4030.

Once piece of information I don't believe I have, is the time you would like to depart the New York City hotel to come up to Utica. I'm working on scheduling driver's now for that week, and that information will help me to properly schedule. It will also help me know what time to expect you at the Utica Radisson Hotel, so I can meet Josep and the team there.

Thank you both so much for allowing us the opportunity to provide your travel arrangements while in New York State. It is a pleasure for me to be at your service.

Hello,
I have a charge in the VISA, I suppose that it is from the different buses all joint.

Please, I would need the detail of the different charges.
For example:
JFK - Manhattan =?
Soccer Hall of Fame +... =
Utica - JFK =
This is to be able to distribute the costs with the different members of
the group.
Because there is some member who will not take the bus Utica -JFK.

I don't know the time we would like to depart the New York City hotel to
come up to Utica.
The first match that we have on Sunday the 6th is in the 7 p.m.
If we could be there, in Utica, between 4 or 5 p.m. it would be fine.

Thank you

Hi Josep,

I am happy to provide the requested information.

7/02/2008 - JFK to Manhattan hotel - $525; with 3% surcharge $540.75
* Shuttle provider is GOLDEN TOUCH TRANSPORTATION. PLEASE CALL THEIR DISPATCH @ 1-800-253-1443 when luggage has been collected. They will pull up right outside the baggage claim area for Jet Airways. The bus will have a sign in the window that says "First Class Tours Company". They are not able to leave the motorcoach to go inside for your group, but will be easy to locate.

7/06/2008 - New York City to Utica - $1,855; with 3% surcharge $1,911

*The bus (WADE TOURS) will arrive by 9:45am ready to depart by 10:00am. This will give you ample time to travel to Utica, with break and/or lunch stop en route and arrive at the Radisson Hotel between 4pm-5pm. I will be there to greet you and am looking forward to meeting you and saying hello and welcome to your team and travellers.

7/07/2008 - Soccer Hall of Fame - $1,430; with 3% surcharge 1,472.90
*The bus (WADE TOURS) will arrive by 6:45am at the Radisson Hotel for departure at 7:00am. You will have from 9:00am to 10:45am to explore the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta. From there you will go for lunch and depart about 12:00pm, to be back at the Radisson by 2:00pm.

Unfortunately, the restaurant that I suggested, Brooks Bar-B-Que is not open on Monday. I have two other choices for you, which are equal in every way, but provide different meal options.

Christopher's Family Restaurant, which has a rustic Adirondack decor and feel, serves all homemade food and can offer each guest their choice of Black Angus Steak Burger or Jack Daniels Barbecue Chicken Sandwich. Both are ample in size and come with homemade french fries, soda and homemade Ice Cream Pie. I'm told it is absolutely delicious.

The other option is Neptune Diner. They also offer all homecooked meals and will offer your group a choice of Chicken Marsala with Rice, Baked Ziti or Hot Open-faced Turkey Sandwich with ashed Potatoes. All meals come with soup du jour, small soda, coffee, tea and chef's choice of dessert. The atmosphere here is a 1950s diner with jukebox, neon signs, chrome accents and tropical fish. Please let me know which menu you prefer and I'll be happy to make reservations at the appropriate restaurant.

7/08/2008 - Niagara Falls - $1,615; with 3% surcharge $1,664
* The bus (WADE TOURS) will arrive at the Radisson Hotel by 7:45am, to depart at 8:00am. There will be a break stop en route to Niagara Falls and we anticipate arriving between 12:30pm-1:00pm. The driver will drop any passengers wishing to remain on the U.S. side at the Niagara Falls Park then continue across the Rainbow Bridge and Customs to the Canadian side of the Falls. Drop off on both sides will be in a central location. Departure will be from the same spot you were dropped off; 6:00pm from the Canadian side and approximately 6;30/6:45pm on the U.S. side. We will again make a break stop on the way back to Utica and should arrive back at the hotel approximately 11:00pm. We will provide handouts of maps with suggested things to do and places to eat on both sides of the Falls. Just let me know how many people you anticipate so we can make enough copies for all.

7/12/2008 - Utica to JFK - $2,190; with 3% surcharge $2,255.70
* Motorcoach (WADE TOURS) will arrive at the hotel by 10:45am for a 11:00am departure. A break stop will be made en route to JFK Airport. We anticipate arriving at the airport approximately 4:30/5:30pm, depending upon traffic. Please let me know if you prefer an earlier departure. We will be happy to accommodate your request. I know how important it is to arrive early, especially for an International flight. Once the motorcoach drops you at the Terminal, the driver will return to Utica.

EMERGENCY NUMBERS:

In Utica Area - 315-527-4890 - Steve Hale

At our main office in Schenectady - #518-859-6321 - Greg Delorenzo/Owner/Manager

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. I want to be certain you are comfortable with all the arrangements and information. I will be taking a few days off to be with my family. My son (who was just promoted to 1st Lieutenant in the Air Force) and his wife and two cats are coming home from Dayton Ohio for a week. They have a 10 hour drive so they don't get home very often. We have a family high school graduation and will also be celebrating his promotion and the birth of my older son and daughter-in-law's first child, my first grand child. I will however be checking my e-mail and calling the office, so I can definitely stay in touch with you and aware of what's going on.

Kathy

Hello,
Grateful for everything. I hope I'll meet in the Radison.
I understand already that we have, even the lunch of the trip to the Soccer Hall of Fame, it's all paid.
Respect to the restaurant to have lunch, I do not know it. Choose the best for us.

Perhaps because I hear myself the person responsible for the group I would want your help respects some subjects that I don't know.

To whom do I have to give tip?
How much?
To the driver of the Golden Touch?
To the drivers of Wade Tours?

Thank you for everything

Hi Josep,
Driver tips are something like waiter and waitress tips or taxi
driver. There is an industry standard, but the final tip, if there is
one, is based on your satisfaction of the service provided. For bus
drivers, the industry standard is $1-$3 per person, per day, much less
than bellmen or porters receive. However, their job is to transport you
from point A to point B and they are getting paid for that. A tip
should be based on anything extra they do for you, for going above and
beyond just driving the bus.
With only 20 or so people, I do think $50 for the shuttle from JFK to hotel by Golden Transportation is much too much, unless
he is very friendly, points out places of interest along the way or
does a lot with handling the luggage. $1-$2 per person should be fine
for any of the transportation you will have while you are here. You
would give the tip directly to the driver.
For your Wade Tours driver, I'm trying to get the same driver
assigned for all of your trips, and I do believe it will be our senior
driver, Dave Koza. This way, I know for certain you are in great hands.

Don't hesitate to ask if there is anything on your mind. And if I
have not answered your questions specifically enough, let me know.
